Confessions of a shoe seller - It's Summer sale time
Wow, this weather really has been glorious these last few weeks in Northumberland and I have enjoyed seeing everyone making the most of the great outdoors around us and welcoming lots of new visitors to Corbridge.
The village is looking fabulous have a peek at some recent pictures here on our facebook page, the flowers are all blooming and everyone's shops are looking super.
Our Midsummer Event went really well the video is here for you to have a look at and more photos can be found on the Visit Corbridge facebook page. The sunshine came out and we enjoyed Pimms in Finale with some live music on Coigns corner keeping us all in the summer mood for late night shopping.
It's sale time now for us - we only have two sales a year so they are always pretty spectacular and our customers love them nearly as much as we love making space for all the new stock as everything gets sold!
We like to offer the same great customer service at sale time as we do all year round so we will do our best to help you hunt out the best bargains in your size no matter how busy we get.
These are my favourite sale tips that I always share at this time of year;
- Remember that we still have a few months of nice weather to go (hopefully) so if you spot a good sandal or shoe in the sales snap it up, you will get to wear it now and then it can be packed away ready for next summer too.
- Only buy things that fit - leather will ‘soften’ around your feet and shape to fit you if it is snug around your foot but a shoe will never grow any longer so it is not a bargain if your toes are falling over the end!
- Take advantage of reductions on accessories such as handbags and jewellery - these are often not as ‘seasonal’ as other items and will be suitable for any time of year.
- Only buy things you love … this is the most important one. Do you love it should come first, closely followed by will you wear it and does it fit?

Happy Sale Shopping everyone,
